A few Wedding Pictures

Just for fun, since the post below talks about our wedding, here a few pictures from the day! I wish I had pictures on my computer of the candy bar, cupcake tower, and the oyster shucker.... I'll have to get those sometime and put them on here, because I loved those details! I have decided I really am obsessed with weddings, and I should be a wedding planner! Oh and you have to click on the picture to see the whole thing for some reason, don't know what I did wrong!?

The Wedding Day

I saw this on a friend's blog, and thought it was fun. I am still going private, so if you haven't left me your e-mail, please do so! And feel free to copy and paste and do this on your blog! I love learning more about everyone!

1) When was your wedding day? July 28th, 2007

2) What day of the week was it? Saturday

3) Did you get married in a church? No, we had a beautiful ceremony on the water in Florida, and look forward to be sealed in the temple (most likely Mt.Timinogas).

4) How many in your wedding party? I had 4 bridesmaids, and Curtis had 3 groomsmen, and Ansley was the flower girl!

5) How many guests were invited to your wedding? Around 100. Being a second marriage we kept it relatively small

6) How long did you wait to tie the knot after your proposal? About 7 months

7) Did you register for gifts? No

8) Who did you hire as your photographer & videographer? We had a wonderful friend who did the photography, and did an AWESOME job! I am seriously LOVE our pictures. And my brother's girlfriend's (now wife) sister's boyfriend (got that) did a wedding video, which may or may not be good, because we still have not seen it nearly 2 years later. Oh well!

9) Did you have a DJ or a band? We had a DJ.

10) Did the father walk the bride down the aisle? Yep he did.

11) What color were the bridesmaid dresses & groomsmen vests? The bridesmaid dresses, which were a nightmare, and had to be altered the day of the wedding, were a beautiful teal color. They looked awesome in pictures, but seriously were THE biggest pain of the entire wedding! The groomsmen wore khaki pants and teal striped shirts, no tie. It was a "beach" wedding afterall.

12) Who was the Maid Of Honor? The Best Man? Didn't really have a "declared" mair of honor, but the best man was Curtis' Dad.

13)What were your colors? A pale teal, lime green and periwinkle.

14) Did the bride have a bridal shower? No

15) What type of limo did you get? We did not do a limo, and no one decorated our car either, I don't think! Sad, I cannot remember that!

16) What type of wedding gown/tux did you two wear? I had a beautiful white dress with a full skirt, and a teal sash that tied around the waist! I LOVE me dress! Curtis wore a Khaki suit and teal tie.

17) How was the weather? HOT and HUMID! Florida in July. We actually waited until 7 to do the ceremony because we knew it would be so hot otherwise.

18) Where did you go on your Honeymoon? You will all be SO jealous! We drove cross country in a Uhaul with all my stuff! I know, you wish your honeymoon and been so fabulous! BUT, we did stay a few nights at the resort where we were married before packing up and moving. And for our one year anniversary we were in Scotland, but was all know how much I enjoyed that trip...

19) What was your favorite part of your wedding day? I loved every minute of the day! It was perfect, and beautiful, and everything I ever wanted. Truely my DREAM wedding!!!

20) How long have you been married? It will be two years in July.

21) What was the most memorable "bridezilla" moment? Hmm... Not sure I had any. But, if you ask my parents they might be able to name a few. Lol..

22) What was your most memorable wedding-related mental breakdown? The bridesmaid dresses. Like I said before, NIGHTMARE! They were not completed until the day of, and then they did not fit the girls, and my sweet friend Carrie, who was a bridesmaid, brought her sewing machine up to the venue and altered them, and I must say, they looked great in the picures, even if some of the girls couldn't breath, one of the ripped, and they had 80's prom dress sleeves...

23) What would you change about your day? Nothing. It was all perfect!

24) What was your most memorable Wedding moment? The father daughter dance, it was very special for me. Everything was wonderful with Curtis, but knowing my Dad was so happy about my marriage was really nice!

Olivia's Ambulance Ride

Um, first of all, WHY does blogger load my pictures BACKWARDS! That is annoying. So I am playing catch-up here. But, these are pictures from her very expensive ride to Primary's! Glad we have good insurance, because 30 minutes is $3200!!!

Our view of the ambulance, because we did not ride with her.

Loading her in. It was really sad, because there were people watching, and they were all so concerned, and kept saying, "aw, poor baby" It made it that much worse for me...

In her isolet. Look how tiny she looks!

And here is a picture with Cari! We LOVED Cari, she was fabulous!

My SHORT lived hair extensions!

I have been trying to grow my hair out for over a year, and it grows SO slowly after it gets to about shoulder length, so I thought it would be a good idea to get hair extensions. I thought it would get me passed the ackward length, and that life would be easier with them. However, I was wrong! Long hair is NOT me, and I was somehow allergic to the glue too! Oh well, I learned, and 2 weeks later, I am myself again, with my bob, and I LOVE it! But, I did take a few pictures, and thought I would share, because I don't think anyone will ever see me with long hair again. I have decided, I am BLONDE, and I am SHORT haired! OH and these are terrible pictures of me by the way, I look very pale and sleep deprived- or maybe I just was!

Visitors from FL!

My Grandparents are in town visiting from Florida, so we have been giving them the tour of Utah! On a trip last week with just my grandparents and I, my grandma was getting out of the car, and was having to crawl over Ansley's seat. (This two carseat thing takes up a lot of room) As she was getting out I asked her if she was okay, to which she replied jokingly, "what do you think I am, old or something?" Ansley politely answered her, "no, you are just very, very, very, very grown-up!" How funny is that!?

We are SO blessed!

Over the past few years Curtis has traveled about 50% of the time. While it was very difficult having him be away all the time, the pay was good, and we just didn't have any other options. When things got really bad during my pregnancy, he asked his boss if he would be able to stay home until I delivered. His boss agreed, and he has not traveled since last October. During this time, he interviewed for several jobs, and finally was given an offer with Cheveron, that was too good to turn down. On Wednesday of this week, he started the job, which required him to travel to Rangely, Colorado, where he would spend 2 weeks, and then be home for 2 weeks. I was so sad to say goodbye to him on Wednesday, but we really felt it was what we had to do, as this was an incredible opportunity. When I spoke to Curtis Wednesday night, he told me that he was really ready to come home, and that he missed his girls terribly (all of us!). This was unlike Curtis, as usually traveling does not bother him too much, because he knows it was he has to do. He told me he had talked to the general manager at his old company and that they were trying to find him a posistion in office, and they would let him know on Friday. I honeslty had little faitht that they would come through, but waited patiently for Friday to see what the offer would be. Curtis called Friday afternoon to tell me that he was given an offer to work under the general manager in Provo! He packed his bags, and got home last night!

Olivia's Newborn Pictures

My friend Triana came and took pictures of Olivia when she got home from the hospital. I LOVE the way they turned out. Thanks again Triana! Here are a few of my favorites. It is hard to decide, because I love them all!

Olivia is ONE month!

Well, she is actually one month and a couple days. It's hard to believe she has been home with us longer than she was in the NICU! Her first week home with us was a little tough, but things have gotten much better, and we are getting into a routine. She is sleeping in 4-5 hour stretches at night, and while she is still struggling with the reflux, we are learning how to deal with it better (like keep her upright after she eats!), and keeping extra outfits in our bedroom at night to change her into after she drenches hers. Ansley has been wonderful with her the entire time she has been home, she has never shown any jealousy, or resentment. Instead she showers her with hugs and kisses, and is a huge help to me when I need things for Livvy! Olivia is becoming much more alert and awake during the day, which is fun, she is so sweet to watch, she looks around and is starting to make eye contact more and more each day. She is also lifting her head and has a lot more control. This picture was taking with my phone, so it is not the best quality! But, I thought it was a cute picture anyway!

Stranger Danger and other funny things...

Ansley has been learning about "stranger danger" this week at school. She had to learn her phone number, and write it (which did not go so well...), but she did do very well with the steps of stranger danger. She would come home and repeat them all. So, while driving by BYU the other day she saw two girls running, and she says, "Look Daddy, they are using the buddy system" It was so cute, and we are proud that she is paying attention at school!

Her preschool also took a trip to the fire station this week. As she was walking out the door, Curtis asked her to go find a coat to wear, she says, "I don't need a coat Daddy, the fire will keep me warm!" Poor thing was very disappointed to find out there are not actual fires at the fire station, she came home to tell us that there was only one very small fake fire in a doll house there!

And, while we are on the fire subject, Ansley likes to "tan" herself by the fire at my parents house, she will lift up her shirt and turn to the fire, and says she is "tanning" herself!
